Advanced Coaching Diploma (ACD)

Skate Canada has officially integrated the Advanced Coaching Diploma (ACD) into its NCCP pathway, providing a key development opportunity for Podium Pathway Coaches working with Junior and/or Senior athletes or teams.

Designed for coaches who aspire to make coaching their full-time career, the ACD offers access to cutting-edge knowledge and the chance to collaborate with high-performing coaches, mentors, and content experts across Canada. Applicants must be NCCP National Trained or Certified and actively coaching athletes at the Train to Compete or Train to Win stages.

This one-year program bridges the gap beyond the National Coach pathway, allowing coaches to enhance their competencies, apply learnings in their specific coaching context, and deliver safe, effective, and high-performance sport programs.

Graduation from the ACD signals to the sport community and the broader coaching field that a coach has demonstrated the ability to lead, problem-solve, engage collaboratively, and critically reflect to implement successful sport programming.
